If we desire spiritual insight, mental clarity, physical health, and peace in the soul, we shall first learn to re-experience and perceive life as an infant or child. Their untouched minds and forgiving hearts are examples of a “state” beyond judgment and distortion. Their energy and passion is always renewed by the spirit. They come from a world that is free of demand; free of obligation and responsibility; free of money and employment; and free of agonizing thoughts and memories. Their interpretation of the moment is merciful, innocent, creative, colourful, bright, fresh, clean, new, and in most cases exciting. Infants are not clouded or confused by an ongoing stream of internal images or dialogue. They do not overly analyze or judge their surroundings or the people in it. They are excellent at reading energies and interpreting vibrations and naturally think or choose accordingly in response. They do not waste their time worrying by imagining or attracting unwanted or unpleasant scenarios. They do not dwell on the past or label the ever-present moment. They are quick to forget pain and are easy to recall the pleasure and joy of family and life. Their mornings are radiant and somewhat majestic as if they are looking upon existence for the first time. We all began life in this “heavenly” state that still lives and lies dormant beneath the mental framework held together and constantly re-enforced by society and adulthood. It is considered a spiritual gift to be able to properly glorify and enthrone the inner child within. Our mighty crown is our enlightened awareness that is partially a result of reverting back to our child-like nature, perception, and spirit. When we return to simplicity, innocence, and playfulness; we experience changes in our thoughts, energy levels, and dietary preferences, increasing our physical health and restoring our vitality. We can overcome unhealthy habits and “dis-ease” with a vibrant spirit, a clear mind, and a child-like soul. We all carry the seed of higher knowledge and sacred awareness within us yet it is by the heart of our inner child that we wake up, embody the spirit, and see.
