There is a subtle difference between wisdom and intelligence that one should be aware of. Intelligence is the capacity to know or understand something while wisdom is the skill or power to apply it. For example, it is considered intelligent to understand that something is harmful or dangerous but it is considered wise to avoid or to abstain from it. It is considered intelligent to understand what is healthy and good but it is considered wise to actually say or do those things accordingly. Not all intelligence is good or beneficial to us since there are sophisticated ways of threatening our own well being and the well being of others without feeling sorrow or guilt, but wisdom is always safe and uplifting since it is the application of intelligence and truth. There are many intelligent people in the world but very few of them are wise. On the other hand there are very few wise individuals in the world but all of them are highly intelligent. An educated mind will never outshine an experienced heart, therefore wisdom will always be the source of True Intelligence while intelligence will always be the result of True Wisdom.
