Inner and Outer Cleanliness

Purifying and maintaining our personal space is critical (if not vital) in developing good overall health and a meaningful connection to God and The Divine. Clutter and filth can be very distracting and can have unseen impacts on our spirits and our psyche. In most cases, a disorganized area is a product of a disorganized mind. The litter and smog in our community reflects our lack of value for life and the mess in our homes. We should always work to keep our personal living spaces (and community) pleasant and clean if and when we have the time to do so. Spotlessness repels negative and harmful energies and also attracts positive and compassionate spirits. Since dark energies tend to hide and reside in dark and dusty spaces remember to clean in areas where the natural light hardly touches. Doing this will help cleanse the space of any unwanted energies and promote healing in both the physical and spiritual sense. Sterilizing areas that are hidden or hard to reach is like disinfecting the subconscious mind and stimulates [healing] processes. How we manage our home will influence the way we manage our inner and outer world so be sure to remain hygienic, organized, and inwardly clean; and remember that cleanliness is next to Godliness.
